What size should my first garden be?

I plan to grow three types of tomatoes, three types of hot peppers, corn, squash, peas, corn salad, carrots, pak choy, scallions and two types of radish. I’m doing this in a community garden. My plot size choices are 20 X 40 ft. or 20 X 20 ft. What’s my best choice?

I made a garden bed in my yard one half is flowers other half is scallions and tomatoes will mulch hurt plants?

Will red mulch kill my garden plants???? I hear there good and bad let me know I have flowers too and onions and scallions growing the mulch is pulled away
so your telling me that only tomatoes and peppers will grow in red mulch beds?
